The Weekend Study & Meditation Program is a newly designed program by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. It is tailored to meet the needs of urban people in busy, everyday life.
Through attending these programs, we can understand how to integrate Buddha’s teachings of Sutra and Tantra into our daily life. The result will be, we will have the ability to solve our daily problems of anger, attachment and ignorance.
There are two aspects to the Weekend Program. The first includes Meditation Weekends, which will be held every other weekend, beginning Friday, November 9th. These will consist of teachings, retreats, meditations and from time to time empowerments and other special events.
The second part is the Study Weekends, held on alternate weekends beginning Friday, November 16th. In this program, we will be studying the book Modern Buddhism, with our Resident Teacher, Kelsang Lhadron. Everyone is welcome to attend these teachings without any commitment as part of the General Program. However, if you wish, it is possible to regard this as a condensed Teacher Training Program. In this case you commit yourself to attending all the sessions (or receiving the recording if you have to miss a class) and completing a retreat on the book.
