About this Event
Discover the practical power and beauty of Lamrim, meditations on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment. The two main trainings on the path to enlightenment, compassion and wisdom, depend upon a solid foundation of basic Buddhist practices. This guided retreat will provide an excellent opportunity to develop this foundation through teachings and meditations on the initial, intermediate and great scope stages of the path to enlightenment, called Lamrim. This retreat is perfect for beginners and those with experience in meditation. Everyone is welcome to attend either a portion or the entirety of the retreat.

We will be using Prayers for Meditation prayer booklet (sadhana) to prepare for each session. The main texts used will be The Mirror of Dharma with Additions and Modern Buddhism.
These texts are available in the bookstore at KMC New Mexico and at Tharpa Publications, where they are also available as ebooks.
