Meditation is a powerful tool to change our mind and to make our life meaningful. In these classes, we will learn or be reminded of the steps of meditation: how to calm the mind, what we need to contemplate that will improve our good qualities and how to concentrate on what is most beneficial, both in meditation and in our daily life. We will also learn the essential ingredients that make our meditation successful, becoming inspired and learning to enjoy the practice of meditation. In each class, we will be guided through these steps and will practice meditating together.
This class is perfect for beginners and advanced meditators alike.
Heart Jewel Prayers
After the class, there will be a 30 minute break and then an opportunity to engage in Heart Jewel chanted prayers, the daily practice of Modern Kadampa Practitioners. Within these prayers will be a pause that you can use to “practice” the meditation skills you’ve learned in class.
