What is retreat?

On retreat, we stop all forms of business and extraneous activities in order to emphasize a particular spiritual practice. This can be just one day, or a weekend, or longer if you have the time.

Guided Lamrim Retreat

The stages of the path, or Lamrim in Tibetan, is the heart of Kadampa Buddhism and is the method to build inner strength leading to lasting inner peace and enlightenment. Lamrim is a special set of wisdom teachings that includes all the essential teachings of Buddha and is also a very accessible and practical guide for successful meditation.

When we mix our mind with wisdom, a special clarity arises and we are filled with a sense of purpose. No matter what is going on in the world, we have an opportunity to make our life truly meaningful. We will find that joy then naturally follows this meaning.
In this retreat we will meditate on the principal aspects of the Buddhist path, gain insights and fill our heart with positive energy. All sessions include a brief teaching and a guided meditation.

This presentation is excellent for beginners and advanced practitioners alike. Everyone is welcome.
