Solving Daily Problems with Loving Kindness
A Half Day Retreat
Saturday, May 31 | 9 am – 12:15 pm
Cost: $20
All are welcome to two sessions of guided retreat on how to solve our daily difficulties with the practice of loving kindness.
Love is an other-centered mind that sees others as important and wishes them to be happy. When we have love in our mind, we are at peace and are protected from negative states of mind like anger, jealousy and depression.
During this half day retreat, Gen Lingpur will guide us in meditation in order to gain familiarity with developing and maintaining a loving mind so as to be able to use it to solve our own daily problems.
Balance Between Faith, Doubt, and Reason
Sunday, June 1 | 10 – 11:30 am
Cost $10
Without faith, everything is mundane. We are blind to anything beyond the ordinary and imperfect world we normally inhabit, and we cannot even imagine that pure faultless beings, worlds, or states of mind exist.
In this class, we will begin to understand the functions of doubt and reason as a basis for developing real faith. Please join us for lunch afterward.
