About the Fundraiser

At KMC NM, one of our most joyful events each year is our annual fundraising event, a day of fun and community gathering. This year, we’ll gather together at our beautiful Temple and enjoy a meditation led by our Resident Teacher, Gen Khyenwang. We will then take a neighborhood walk for world peace through Nob Hill, and afterward enjoy a lunch back at the Temple!

All ages and abilities are welcome. You can walk or just hang out and visit with friends. Join our Buddhist community for a peaceful walk to raise funds for world peace. Walk with like-minded spiritual friends and support a worthy cause. All money raised from registration and sponsorship supports KMC NM’s efforts to help people develop peaceful minds, increasing inner peace and thereby world peace. As our founder, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso (Geshe-la) says, “Without inner peace, outer peace is impossible.”

All funds directly benefit our International Temples Project (ITP) established by Geshe-la with the aim of creating meditation centers worldwide, places where people can develop inner peace through the practice of meditation. The ITP serves the people of New Mexico and we, in turn, are part of a global community dedicated to creating world peace.
