Introduction to the Three Study Programs

There are three reasons why we need to study and practice the teachings of Buddha – to develop our wisdom, to cultivate a good heart and to maintain a peaceful state of mind.

Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition, has designed three special Study Programs for the systematic study and practice of Modern Buddhism that are especially suited to the modern world: the General Program, Foundation Program, and Teacher Training Program.

In this free introductory class, Gen Khyenwang will explain the differences between these programs and how each of these study programs can bring great benefit to your own daily practice of becoming a more compassionate, wise human being.

Everyone is welcome. Class will include a brief meditation, teaching and time for paired discussion and Q & A.
