Friday Night Lecture

Cost: $10 (free for members)

December 1: 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Everyone experiences loneliness at some point in their lives, yearning to feel a sense of connection with others. Through exploring loneliness, we can come to some profound conclusions about who we really are, and in particular how we are related to others. Through deeply understanding our connection with others, we will reduce our sense of isolation, allowing a natural closeness and authentic love for others to arise.

Everyone is welcome to this talk and guided meditation.

Meditations on Love

Cost: $25

December 2: 10:00 am – 12:30 pm

Love is a powerful state of mind that protects us from unhappiness, anger and loneliness. In this half day retreat, we will contemplate and meditate on Buddha’s wisdom of love. These simple and profound meditations can help to improve our relationships, and also lay the foundation for universal love, which is the key to solving not only our own problems but those of our world as well.

This is a wonderful follow-up to the Friday Night Lecture: Overcoming the Illusion of Loneliness and for those who have been attending the weekly General Program classes.

Everyone is welcome.
